We have been renting our equipment and teaching people to windsurf, sail and kayak since 1989.

The representation of the Balmoral Sailing School reflected in our team , who are vibrant, friendly and approachable when accommodating the varying needs of our clients and the community we work with.Water Sports Instructors is a varied role that first and foremost involves the safety of our clients and secondly the delivery of outstanding customer service which we are well known for. The role of instructor is definitely a lifestyle choice. Working on the water, carrying boats for hours on end can be quite exhausting and overall the role of instructor is physically demanding, so you must be in excellent health. Working flexible hours weekdays, weekends and even public holidays means that these hours can disrupt your personal life. On the flip side, it's an exciting opportunity to visit Australia's wonderful destination with some of your new friends and colleagues. Working with children All staff positions at Balmoral Sailing School involve working with children and you must be prepared to undertake a ‘Working with Children Check’.  If you are applying from the UK you will be required to provide a police check or criminal records check BEFORE you start work at the Sailing School.  If you are an Australian citizen or resident you will be asked to complete a check from the NSW Department of Sport and Recreation.

What we offer

• Competitive Salary – you will need to provide us with details of an Australian Bank Account, Australian Tax File Number and Declaration Form along with your Superannuation Fund Details

• Free use of water sports equipment when not in use by clients

• Instruction – you are welcome to join in any lessons in your free time providing equipment is not in use by clients

• Uniform

• Working week – generally 5 days but this is not guaranteed and opportunities fluctuate depending on the season and weather.  Please be aware you will be expected to work at weekends

• Travel – we do not contribute to airfares, airport transfer costs
