THE PICO - This is the ideal craft for teaching beginners and to practice and advance your sailing skills. The boat is designed with simplicity in mind to allow maximum ease of use. It has a simple reefing option allows you to take this boat out in a large range of wind conditions. When you see beginners who have only sailed for a matter of hours sailing single-handed in a big breeze with a big smile, then you will know they are in a very special boat.
The Biggest small boat around - with its combination of a spacious self draining cockpit and a high boom the Pico has stacks of room aboard for children or a couple of adults.
"Suddenly learning to sail has got 'beach cred'! Pico looks the part and has a personality to match. Beginners will immediately feel at ease with this boat. But don't be surprised to find top sailors having fun aboard."
Ben Ainslie, 2000, 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist.
The boat also benefits from the unique reef system that can be operated when afloat. The mainsail simply furls around the mast – simple as that! There are no knots to tie.

The Kalao is a veritable 4x4 of the kayak world. Equally at ease on the sea or rivers, for fun or for fishing, it really is the kayak for all adventures. Like all BIC Sport kayaks it features plenty of innovations. The fluid, stable hull design makes it simple for a family of two adults and two children to all ride together in complete comfort. That makes it the first true 3 (adult) person sit-on-top on the market, with 3 proper ergonomic seats. Essentially, the Kalao combines capacity of the old style family canoe, with the safety of a Sit-on-Top kayak! The other big first : it can be adapted to take an electric motor. The largely flat hull design with very little water draught is extremely stable and allows the kayak to go almost anywhere. Such aspects as storing your belongings while kayaking, as well as carrying and transporting your kayak have all also received detailed attention.

Fishing on Sydney Harbour
Balmoral Grotto point gives you access to fish some the great area of the harbour that is mostly accessible only from boats. From the rocks you can cast out towards Middle or North Head and be in the right area to catch some of the pelagic species that the Harbour is famous for. Fish entering Middle Harbour to feed must go past Grotto point on their way in, and of course again on their way out so this area can fish well on any part of the tide. The two best techniques for fishing this area is with a small bobby cork, or with as little weight as the conditions will allow. Because you are fishing in such a large area of water burley is very important if you want to have a good session. Using a burley of stale bread or chicken pellets soaked in some tuna oil should do the job. Goods baits for Grotto point are peeled prawns, strips of mullet, tuna and bonito. You could also try pilchards or garfish on a set of ganged hooks.

HiFly MOTION are ideal beginner boards. The large volume, a very tough outer skin (Polypropylene), combined with an unbeatable price/ performance ratio, make these boards the ideal partner for the first steps in this new, fascinating sport.
Large volume translates to good buoyancy and therefore good stability and safety. The board lies stable in the water and is very forgiving. The sail can easily be pulled out of the water using an up haul line.
Both boards are equipped with fully retractable dagger boards. The dagger board helps to stabilize the board and to go upwind better. With the dagger board fully retracted, both boards feature a flat-vee planing area.

FOR YOUR FIRST STEPS AND EVERYTHING AFTER!
Short and wide is not the answer! FANATIC listened to the experts when we were designing our Viper range of Beginner/Family boards – the vast network of windsurfing school organizations. This network provides us with great feedback to design boards that will both attract and keep beginners in our sport. These schools have immense experience with all types of beginners and their input directly influenced our Viper range - modern design concepts combined with proven experience.
Long, stretched outlines and a finely-tuned CAD stretched power rocker line guarantee a long waterline. This is essential for maximal sub-planing performance and paves the way to first time planing experience. The perfect and equally balanced volume distribution makes Windsurfing fun and easy - from the very first step on the board. A daggerboard system vastly increases the sub planing performance by offering additional stability. This is the proven guarantee to staying upwind/coming back to the beach, critical for beginners and light wind cruising. Advanced windsurfers can also enjoy the Vipers as light wind Freeride boards, with plenty of footstrap positions to choose from and an optional tuning kit to further boost performance.
To further increase the Viper range, Fanatic offers our exclusive tuning kit set:
With the help of our tuning kit, the Viper can be further performance tuned into a Fun board, which can be used without a daggerboard. With this tuning kit, the daggerboard case can be closed at the bottom and on the deck of the board, whilst the daggerboard casing is filled with a specially made foam insert. With the closed daggerboard case and the 50cm Freeride GFK fin, the Viper can be converted within seconds into a light wind Freeride board, with a great performance potential!
Key Features:
- Straight outline shape concept - for better upwind and rig steering
- Maximum sub planing performance - due to outline/volume combination
- Fully removable daggerboard - essential for beginners, far bigger wind range, extra stability
- Softdeck covers the whole deck area - thermo-heated surface for higher surface durability
- Great allround performance for Freeride sailing
- Easy nose handle for carrying/stabilising
- Optional tuning kit to convert Viper for freeriding

Experienced Freestylers will instantly love the new xantoss. Designed 100% for new school freestyle, making even the most difficult of moves easy, the xantos earns high marks for quick planing, fast acceleration and incredible pop with even the slightest foot pressure.
The unchanged rocker-line stands the test of time and like the 3 generations before, it gives the best in early planing and fast acceleration. A new more harmonic outline lets the xantos slide and turn like a disc. Flat V lets the water rip off cleanly during the most complex maneuvers; plus, a slight additional V in the tip of the 2007 xantoss provides total fin first control.
The perfectly designed deck shape guarantees the best stance when twisting and contorting to unseen impacts. The slightly domed deck allows thin rails over the whole length without any loss of volume. Tucked rails give a smooth ride, control and grip in turns. Thin rails let the xantos turn on a dime. The new tail shape combines the cut outs and spock tail with a whole new edge geometry. This gives the xantos an amazingly free planing position, unbelievable pop and complete safety in fin first moves.

AST construction
* Full traction deck

* Composite fins
The new extended Kailua line sets the standard for modern beginer boards. Stable, durable, and
easy to handle, the Kailua range is also hard to outgrow. This versatile school board range is both
the ideal choice for beginner level sailors of all weights AND an excellent introduction to the world
of planing.
The Kailua 160 and 140 feature a short twin fin setup that adds stability and
maneuverability, letting intermediate sailors experience planing without the more demanding feel
of a big single fin. The Kailua Jr. 120 extends the same versatility to kids boards, taking junior sailors
from their first steps on a windsurfer to riding in footstraps and harness. The all new Kailua XR
combines the wide Kailua concept with a longer outline for classic gliding performance. This makes
it the industries foremost modern beginner board, and a fun alternative for
any sailor in lightwind

The energy board is designed to plane early, be fast on the water and have great stability in the jibes.
With a fairly parallel outline and a straight rocker line that follows the lines from the slalom boards.
The V is accelerated towards the tail to make the board lively off the back foot and also help accelerate in the gusts. The rails have plenty of tuck under to ensure a soft ride in the water and also help you come out of jibes planing.
The boards have a high-end construction featuring a glass-carbon-reinforced PVC sandwich.

STAND UP PADDLE SURFING - WOULD YOU RATHER BE SWEATING IT OUT IN THE GYM OR FEELING THE RHYTHM OF THE OCEAN?
Stand up paddle (SUP) surfing is one of the world’s fastest growing water sports. A total core and cardiovascular workout, flat water stand up paddling works your entire body and mind and now you can get involved.
The first stand up paddle surfers emerged in Waikiki in the early 1950s, when the post-war tourism boom saw Matson cruise liners deposit thousands of thrill-hungry Americans on the beach under the shadow of Diamond Head. Naturally, they wanted to try their hand at the new sport of surfing, or at least take a canoe surf under the expert guidance of a Waikiki beachboy. And there were plenty of beachboys up for the job. Duke Kahanamoku and his brothers were a bit long in the tooth by this stage, but in their wake had come a whole new generation of beachboys who lurked under the banyan trees flirting with pretty heiresses until their bosses, the concierges of the luxury hotels on the beachfront, waved them into action for the benefit of another troop of newly-arrived thrill-seekers.
