Balmoral beach is located on Sydney ’s lower north shore just a ten minute drive from the city of Sydney. Balmoral is Sydneys harbour’s premiere beach and an ideal spot to catch the prevailing north-easterly sea breezes. The sheltered bay means that it is one of the safest and easiest places to learn to sail or hire rent, kayak and windsurf,paddle surf while further out back in our sailing area increased wind is perfect for more advanced sailors.

Sailing Hire

We have a range of sailing boats to hire on Sydeny harbour & windsurfing kit, kayaks and paddle boards available for hire on Sydeny harbour. To hire from us, you can book in advance (this is necessary on the weekends) or you can just turn up and see if any equipment is available. We hire out our kit from Monday to Sunday 9am-5pm and our staff are on hand to help you rig the kit and launch from the beach. Read more ...

Sailing with School Groups

Generally schools participate in one session per week with us. Some schools like to focus purely on sailing so that the students can progress in their skills over the term. Other schools prefer more of a 'taster' programme where the students swap activities each week, alternating between catamaran sailing, dinghy sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and paddle boarding. Our school watersports programme is an excellent opportunity for kids to learn new skills, increase their knowledge of the weather and the ocean, work as a team and it's an exciting change from the usual school sports!
